According to Warren McGee, the railroaders called it "the rubberneck car." 1529 is a class W 2-8-2 built by ALCO in 1905 at their Brooks works It is an oil burner, unusual on the Rocky Mountain Division, but deemed less conducive to fire setting than a coal-fired engine, a major consideration that close to Yellowstone Park When the tourist season was over and wet weather returned to the area, 1529 would be transfered out to the Tacoma Division, where it saw service on the Grays Harbor branch This was a recurring cycle of service for 1529 The trees in the background are on the banks of the Yellowstone River"
