Nixon Railroad: Northern Pacific Railway Caption: "NP yard engine no. 174 switches cars on detouring NP No. 3 on Milwaukee Road tracks at Missoula. The reason for the detour is the derailment on the NP, east of Missoula, of wrecker no. 47. (See RVN 09581-09595). The yard engine is a Baldwin VO-1000 type, built in October 1945. It will be renumbered 427 in January 1950 and spend most of its NP career at Auburn, on the Tacoma Division. The eastbound train in the background is Milwaukee Road First No. 16."
