Nixon Railroad: Milwaukee Road Caption: The Olympian Hiawatha behind an elderly bi-polar electric locomotive is near Bonner Junction east of Missoula a long string of Union Pacific yellow and red with a deadhead passnger car between the engine and the railway post office car.

Nixon Railroad: Northern Pacific Railway Caption: The railroad fantrip a chance to take a train ride to an unusual destination or seldom seen trackage or just to take a train no matter where its going brought special passenger trains to unusual places. Regular passenger trains stopped going to Wallace ID in 1941 but this special old cars and a pair of passenger cab units sandwiching a GP9 has come calling at Wallace 17 years later.

It may be the last passenger train to ever come this way.

And just because you have crossed the trestle dont assume that you are through with curves.
