Date: July 1936  Location: Muir, MT Photographer: Ron V. Nixon Railroad: Northern Pacific Railway Caption: NP 4002, Class Z-2 pulling X4002W, an 86 car train of continuous rail for Bozeman tunnel. Train is stopped just outside east entrance to tunnel. Ron wrote Verne Alexander: "83 cars of welded rail, supposedly the first on the NP, Muir, MT July 1936. The rail was used in the Bozeman Tunnel where the 4002 pulled the train out from under the rail. One of the few times a Z-2 was used for other than a helper."
