Chief Sitting Bull (1831-1890). was a holy man who led his people during years of resistance to US government and was an important Native American leader in the Battle of the Little Bighorn. The Ghost Dance was a ceremony where they thought they would reunite with spirits of the dead. Vintage 6.5x4 in. print, 4x5 in. copy negative.
