Description: Edwin Harvat (1894-1970) with herd of sheep in corral at the Harvat Ranch, Livingston, Montana. He was the son of John H., Sr., and Elizabeth Harvat. The Harvat Ranch was one of the largest sheep ranching operations in SW Montana with more than 60,000 sheep. The ranch was built about 1917. It was located south of Livingston. Vintage 5x6 in. negative.
