- Summary: The effect of lesser snow geese grazing on Carex density was measured in salt and freshwater marshes along La Pérouse Bay in Manitoba, Canada (58° 04' N, 94° 03' W). Carex shoots were counted in paired plots which were either grazed or ungrazed. Ungrazed plots were covered with wire mesh either in 1985 or early 1986.
