| Caption: "The class S-10 328 was part of a group of locomotives built for another railroad, and purchased by NP when that railroad defaulted on the order. The 328 was saved after dieselization, and for many years pulled excursion trains in northern Minnesota. In 2006 it may be found in the Jackson Street Roundhouse in Minneapolis awaiting rebuilding. It has just pulled a mixed train to the end of the Taylors Falls branch line, and after having been turned on the ""Armstrong"" turntable is easing off the table for its return trip. ""Armstrong refers to the fact that the turntable is unpowered and must be swung by hand. " |
