| Caption: "NP Passenger Extra 2235 East on Miwaulkee Road track leaves Missoula. The reason for the detour is the derailment on the NP, east of Missoula, of wrecker no. 47. (See RVN 09581-09595). Engineer Marcellus "Jumbo" McClain is handling Class Q-5 no. 2235. His fireman's date is February 23, 1906, and he was promoted to engineer on June 6, 1913. Alco built no. 2235 in November 1920, and the NP scrapped it at Brainerd in October 1952. The 4-6-2 type locomotive is handling a heavy troop train, but ahead lies a fairly easy river grade run along the Clark Fork." | |
