Summary of Methods: Bradley and Farge looked at the effects of ranching in south Texas on the distribution and home range of coyotes and bobcats. The La Copita research area installed a short duration grazing system on its north half during the winter of 1984/85. The grazing system seemed to have none to little negative effect on the presence of the predators. Cattle were found on 12% of the predator home range, and predators were found in 9.5% of that area. The authors feel that the study time may not have been long enough to see the full effects of the grazing system on the predators choice of home range.
