Abstract: Whether it is in winter, in summer or still for a journey, the guide is very often brought to evolve in snowy environment. Beyond this, he is the only professional to add to the complexity of this environment, the constraints of the glacial ground associated with those of the high height. The problem of this progress is thus central in the profession of guide. Beyond the purely technical aspects, we shall evoke during this contribution the various axes of work set up by the professionals (French) these last years. The main approached points will be: - The management of the material tools: orientation, safety, help … - The management of decision-making tools: method 3X3, method of reduction … - The project management
