Mom took this one. She and my brother were driving from Three Forks to Willow Creek when they found Train No. 1 stalled out in the middle of nowhere. The Conductor flagged them down and asked for a ride to Willow Creek so he could get orders. My dad was working and it was quite a mess. Had to send a helper engine from Whitehall to move No. 1. 2603 always had the reputation of being a not so good engine. |
