Description: William White Alderson (1831-1906). Rev. Alderson was one of Bozemans first founders. In 1864, he suggested changing the name - the town was called Jacobs Crossing. He purchased Bozeman's first newspaper, the Avant Courier, in 1877 and operated it for 30 years. Vintage 2x3.5 in. print.
