Description: Miss Katie Hanley (?-1918), possibly the first Sweet Pea Carnival Queen. Sweet Pea Carnival started in August 1906 to celebrate Bozeman producing 75% of all the seed peas in the U.S., known at that time as the Sweet Pea Capital of the Nation. The carnival included a parade and queen contest. Vintage 8x10 in. print mounted on cardstock.
