Description: Liberty Cap rock next to Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone Park. Liberty Cap was named in 1871 by the Hayden Survey party which was funded by the U.S. Geological Survey. Geologists believe it is a hot spring that was clogged and dried up and may be 2,500 yrs old. Vintage 7x3.5 in. stereograph.
