Friday July 7. Got up at 7.30. Pretty rough weather and very foggy, whistle blew all night and most of morning; Breakfast at 8. Then wen on deck. Very cold, choppy raining, and deck slippery. Siding on the deck. – Music in the parlor, - Passed several large whale-backs – waves broke completely over them – Several sea sick people on board – Dinner – Afternoon Woodworth’s bear and rattle snake stories on deck – Arrived at Duluth at 12 P.M. Remained on board slip all night. Slept 4 hrs.
