Breakfast at 9 – Now in Lake Huron no land in sight – 11 A.M. Nearing the [strait] and Thunder Bay I [higher] – Beautiful morning all hands on deck. Sail up the river to Mackinac. Arrived at Mackinac almost 4 P.M. 5 hrs. late. [Harriet], Lee and Grigs left at Mackinac. Gave them cheer for ninety-nine. Beautiful
Sail up the river to Sault St Marie docks and canal here. – Ship raised 30 ft. on wave about 10 P.M. After docks came canal. Bed at 11.
