Abstract  A group photo of Bud, Tom, Bessie, Paul, & Wally Ringer, Annie, Berneta, Charlie, Jim, Angus, Varick, Claude, & Blanche Doig, and Clyde Essex sitting and standing on the front porch of the Ringer house in Moss Agate, Montana.

Note  On back of photo is a typewritten note, dated June 6, 1986, from Author Ivan Doig to his cousin Dave Ringer that reads: Thanks for the loan of all this. As to the two photos I had copied for you, the info on them is this: "At Moss Agate (1929)", left to right seated: Bud, Tom Ringer, Grandma, Paul, your dad, my mother, my dad, Angus Doig, XXXXX Doig, his eventual wife Blance, and Clyde Essex of Sixteen. Varick standing: my grandmother Annie Doig, Jim Doig, and Claude Doig. Pic was taken by my aunt, Anna Doig, who was dating Clyde Essex that day; a few years ago, after both their spouses died, she and Clyde married and live in Livingston. The kid with the dog is no, not Dan Ringer, but your dad. Paul seated behind him, Grandma with hands on hips, my grandmother Annie Doig, and our granddad Tom Ringer. This is almost certainly taken that same day at Moss Agate in 1929.
