Item Title   Beartooth highway, Montana - mountain lake and glaciers Photographer   Doig, Carol M. Abstract   A view from atop the Beartooth highway in Montana near Cooke City, Montana. In the extreme foreground rocky terrain is seen on a slope that descends down to a small body of water in the center of the image. There are remnants of winter snow still visible on the slopes directly above the water. Beyond there is a drop off into a canyon. As the mountains continue away from the camera view in the far distance a continuing tall mountain range can be seen. There is a cloudless blue sky.
