Item Title  Castle Town, Montana - abandoned buildings on hillside Photographer  Doig, Carol M. Abstract  An image of some of the buildings located in the ghost town of Castle City, Montana which is southwest of White Sulphur Springs, Montana. The view is looking up at a gradual slope with several buildings in view. In the foreground to the extreme right, the side of a building can be partially seen. To the left and farther away, a large tree and another building is partially visible with the doorway and windows clearly seen. Further still and centered in the photo, two distinct buildings are seen. One is taller, perhaps two story and the other is smaller in size and sits off to the right. There are piles of discarded and stacked barn wood surrounding the buildings amidst the grass and sagebrush covered slope. In the distance, at treeline, two buildings, one larger building and a smaller one are seen higher on the slope as it rises to the ridge top. They too are surrounded by sagebrush with evergreen trees beyond. The ridge is silhouetted against a partly cloudy sky.
