Abstract  
This is the outtakes of Linda Bierds used to create Ivan Doig Among Friends Biographical film. The Film is made up of interviews conducted by Jean Walkinshaw of Ivan's closest friends. The interviews were done in Seattle between February and May 2017. Jean also conducted the original Ivan Doig outtakes in Seattle in 1995 for a documentary film about western writers called "Westwords: Six Western Writers". Carol had thought that the footage from these earlier interviews were some of the best she had ever seen of Ivan and thus, the film was born. The Friends of Ivan talk about the author, his dedication to writing and their own meaningful relationships they formed over the years.
