Item Title   Ivan Doig's notebook from funeral trip to Montana, 1974 Author   Doig, Ivan Abstract   A spiral notebook that author Ivan Doig kept when his maternal Grandmother Bessie Ringer passed away in 1974. The handwritten pages include various lists, tasks, contact information, and tidbits of geneaological information and short-hand memories about family and friends. Doig also kept an account of donations made and expenses incurred. The latter pages appear to be notes about past events and people; possibly collected from a conversation that took place among family and/or friends and some daily entries made by Doig during his stay in Montana.
