Abstract: The American Avalanche Association’s memorial list is currently comprised of 51 individuals. The criteria for being listed on the memorial list is: The American victim must have been engaged in either a professional or in a volunteer capacity while “on the clock,” in snow-safety and or avalanche rescue work, at the time that they were killed. It is both educational and sobering to see the list of names, their occupations and type of accident that killed these victims. This poster will help remind avalanche workers which professions within the snow community are the most dangerous fields, as well as remember our fallen peers.
