Abstract: We present results of water equivalence measurements taken on several experimental pillow configurations over the last three snow seasons. Water equivalence measurements were made throughout each season by means of hourly pressure transducer measurements. These measurements are compared with pit density profiles, glacier sampler measurements, and Federal sampler measurements. Limited intercomparisons with an FM-CW radar were also made. Results also show a definite diurnal periodicity in the pillow response. Explanation of the pillow oversight behavior and the diurnal oehavior are presented. An intercomparison of several ground truth measurement techniques is also presented.
