Abstract: With a long tradition of skiing and mountaineering, and deeply committed to the principle of responsibility of mountain practitioners, Chamonix has developed over many years, particularly through the association La Chamoniarde, a policy for preventing the risks of avalanche around two priority axis: prevention and information on the one hand, and practical training on the other. This policy is necessarily a long-term one and based on a set of fundamental actions to a wide public.
